A graduate of the Copenhagen Business School, Mette holds an Msc in Business Administration and Human Resource Management, and a Bsc in Business, Language and Culture. She is also a corporate & life coach and Global Mobility Specialist.

Mette has worked for both public and private companies in many different industries and understands the diversity of challenges and opportunities that the Danish labour market presents. Throughout her career, Mette has focused on helping newcomers feel at home in Denmark. In 1995 she founded the International Student Accommodation Office at the Technical University of Denmark and was responsible for resolving any intercultural issues that arose. More recently she has worked as a consultant at the Lyngby-Taarbæk council helping refugees and immigrants find a permanent foothold in the Danish labour market. See Mette’s full CV.

Mette strongly believes that everybody has a fundamental need for recognition. Supporting People was started to provide this recognition to the often overlooked group of partners and families of expatriate families. By listening, coaching, guiding and taking a holistic view of the individual’s opportunities, wishes and ambitions, Mette and her team helps expatriate families turn their stay in Denmark into a meaningful and enriching time.

“It is incredibly important (…) we recognise that employing a knowledge worker also means taking responsibility for their family and helping them settle in”
