Expatriate Partner Support- Retainer Agreement
January 2012
Consider a retainer agreement with Supporting People so we can provide valuable and consistent support for all of your company’s expatriate partners.
Expatriate partners feel quite often that after the usual relocation services are over, they are left to fend on their own. This can add to their frustrations and worries, and can consequently lead to the expatriate and their family’s failure to thrive in the new country, and also less than optimal performance at work. By choosing a retainer agreement with Supporting People, the expatriate partner has a regular, dependable external contact for all their questions and needs throughout their stay.
What are the benefits for you?
-
HR / Global Mobility departments’ workloads are eased by the centralizing of administration associated with expatriate partner support.
-
Employees perform better at work and complete the contract period due to not being mentally occupied with the welfare of their families.
-
The company strengthens its image as an attractive workplace that takes the individual seriously
Regular and direct access to support
The company pays a monthly fee in advance, the amount depending on the number of expatriate partners expected by the company to need/ use the service. The expatriate partners that are covered by the agreement have direct access to support and help from Supporting People for an average of 1 hour each every month. It is from our vast experience in this field that we feel that 1 hour is a realistic expectation of use of this service by an expatriate partner. We can help the expatriate partner in complete confidence, with all kinds of matters, big and small.

“Our surveys have shown that the most important factor in retaining foreign employees is employment for their spouses”
